The Sub-39 GMT Vintage was born from a desire to expand a collection that boasts a strong connection with the brand’s history. Its case design is inspired by models produced by Squale in the 60s during the golden era of dive watches, and it has been updated with an impressive water resistance of up to 300 meters.

The "Vintage" is the first GMT in the Sub-39 series and represents a combination of past and present. All the essential elements of a diver watch are found in the details, from the simplicity of the dial that guarantees perfect readability even at depth, to the presence of SuperLuminova — vital features for diving, when visibility is reduced and it is crucial to keep track of immersion and decompression times. It is a practical tool watch that also allows the wearer to view multiple time zones.

This classic diver has a screw-in case back and a polished 316L stainless steel case with dimesions of 39mm x 12mm. The short lug to lug dimension of 48.5mm as well as curved down lug ends ensures a comfortable fit on your wrist. Despite the high water resistance rating of 300 meters the case has been kept to a slim 12.5mm thanks to the unique case construction.

This highly recognizable case features a large signed screw-down crown at the 3 o´clock position which is easy to grip and screws in and out very smoothly. The matte black dial with the distinctly designed large index markers of "Old Radium" Superluminova that glow green in the dark provides excellent legibility in all lighting conditions. And the red GMT hand is designed to allow the second time zone to be read easily in conjunction with the rotating 24-hour bezel when not underwater.

The 120-click bi-directional bezel features a special K1 crystal glass insert with 24 hour markings. Whilst the design of the scratch-resistant box shaped sapphire crystal also remains true to the original characteristics of the plexiglass used back in the 60's. The sapphire crystal is also enhanced with anti-reflective treatment and protects this timepiece up to 300 meters below sea-level or 30 atmosphere of pressure.

The Squale Sub-39 GMT Vintage is powered by a Swiss made ETA 2893-2 automatic GMT movement which provides mechanical reliability and accuracy under the toughest circumstances. It has a quickset date funcion and displays the date at the 3 o'clock position.
