Since 1941, the Jeep brand and Marathon have shared a mutual history of authentic military supply, manufacturing some of the most reliable tools on the market for use by Allied forces. This tradition is commemorated with the Jeep x Marathon Series.

The collaborative Jeep x Marathon timepieces embody the resilient spirit of both companies and reflect upon their shared military roots and functional designs. The series draws inspiration from two of Jeep's iconic vehicles, the Willys MB - The Jeep brand first automobile used by the U.S. in World War II - and the modern Wrangler Rubicon. The new collection stands as a testament to an ethos of utilitarian design and pays homage to each brand's origins.

The Marathon Search & Rescue (SAR) Dive watch is built to ISO 6425 standards and manufactured in accordance with US Government MIL-SPEC specifications. Designed for use by Search and Rescue divers and issued to the United States Marine Corps, the Marathon Search & Rescue Dive Watch is a watch built to withstand the most extreme conditions.

The TSAR or "Tritium Search and Rescue" dive watch is a purpose built watch that will not let you down. The Nato Stock Number is 6645-21-558-0133.

It is water resistant down to 30 ATM - 300 meters (1000 feet) underwater. Built from 316L surgical grade stainless steel, the watch is a high quality, purpose built watch that will reliably accompany you wherever you take it. The rugged case, with solid flared crown guards, has a satin-brushed finish. Engraved on the watch is the seven slot Jeep grille, located on the side of the 316L steel case, and the Willys star, located on the knurled steel crown.

The dial of the 41mm Jeep® RUBICON TSAR® features a distinctive “red line” indicator repurposed as a 15-minute count-up (inspired by Jeep dashboard instruments) and type treatments inspired by the Jeep Wrangler 1941 Limited Edition. To illuminate the dial and full handset, this timepiece utilizes a combination of tritium gas tubes and MaraGlo technology. The dial is protected with a scratch resistant flat sapphire glass crystal with an anti reflective coating to ensure that the dial can be easily read even under direct sunlight or deep underwater.

Iconic to the SAR series, the watch is outfitted with an oversized 60min/120-click unidirectional dive bezel which features large grooves that enable it to be rotated under all conditions - even when wearing gloves underwater. Whilst the black anodized bezel insert is engraved with white 60-minute markings for clear visibility and has a MaraGlo luminous triangle pip at the 12 o’clock position. The deeply knurled screw-down crown is also adjustable with wet hands or when wearing gloves.

The Marathon TSAR Search and Rescue Dive Watch is handmade in La Chaux de Fonds Switzerland to guarantee the highest level of quality and accuracy in manufacturing. Inside the TSAR is a Swiss made, high torque, 3 jewel ETA F06 Quartz movement. The ETA F06 is accurate to -0.3/+0.5 seconds per day and includes an End of Life (EOL) indicator that will advance the seconds hand once every 4 seconds to inform you that a battery change is needed, guaranteeing a very reliable and accurate timekeeping experience.

The TSAR uses self contained Tritium gas tubes to ensure constant visibility in low light situations. A gas tube is placed on each hour marker and each syringe-style hand. MaraGlo luminescence is used for the 12 hour bezel marker. Tritium tubes are self illuminating gas tubes which contain an isotope of hydrogen, meaning they will not dull down in brightness like normal photo-luminescent paint which requires an external light source to create a glow.

Found on the stainless-steel case back is an engraving of the Jeep brand’s lifestyle motto, “Go Anywhere, Do Anything,” as well as all required technical information. Each timepiece is also emblazoned with the words “Since 1941” to honor the shared military history between the two brands and each watch also features a unique serial number as well as a custom Jeep x Marathon signature logo.
