The Lumis version of the DAVOSA Argonautic has been part of the popular Argonautic dive watch range since 2013. When first launched, the model attracted much interest at Baselworld, the watch trade fair that draws visitors from the entire watch world each year, thanks to borosilicate glass tubes filled with a mix of gaseous tritium that are positioned on the hands and hour markings. These ensure sustained luminosity without any drop in intensity – even in complete darkness, without an external energy source. This makes the Lumis models particularly suited for use in very poor visibility, both in and above water.

The Argonautic's case has a diameter of 42.5 mm and is made of 316L stainless steel with a satin finish and is PVD gun-plated. It features elegant turned-down lugs for a more comfortable fit on a wide range of wrist sizes. The case is water resistant down to 30 ATM - 300 meters underwater. The large screwed down crown is protected with solid flared crown guards and is located at the 3 o'clock position. Two Chrono screw-down pushers are located either side of the crown. The caseback is also made of 316L stainless steel and is screwed-on in order to ensure its water resistance.

Thanks to a manual helium escape valve, a controlled equalisation of pressure inside the watch can be achieved when ascending to the ocean surface. Moreover, the valve at 10 o’clock has been technically optimised and is now clearly identifiable thanks to the helium symbol on the crown face.

The matte black dial is protected by a scratch resistant sapphire glass crystal with an anti reflective coating to ensure that the dial can be easily read even under direct sunlight or deep underwater. There is a date window at the 3 o'clock position.

The Argonautic Lumis utilizes self-illuminating tritium gas tubes which require no external light source to cast their simultaneously fascinating and possibly life-saving glow. To protect the tubes against impact as effectively as possible, they are located at a second level beneath the actual dial. The essential is then illuminated through millimetre-precise slots in the dial.

The unidirectional rotating bezel is made of 316L stainless steel with a PVD gun-plating and boasts a high-tech scratch-resistant ceramic bezel insert which rises conically between the stainless steel bezel and inner glass rim. The luminous dot of Super-LumiNova in the centre of the top triangle provides additional orientation.

This Argonautic is powered by a Swiss made DAV 3050 automatic chronograph movement which provides precision, reliability and a high level of performance. It has a power reserve of up to 48 hours and guarantees a very reliable and accurate timekeeping experience.

A matching stainless steel PVD gun-plated bracelet with safety clasp is supplied with the Argonautic Lumis. And thanks to the 'divers extension' integrated in the clasp, the Davosa Argonautic can be easily worn on top of a wetsuit.
