The DK36 range features a distinctive sporty design with clear readability and a minimalistic dial which understandably relates to Damasko's instrument watches and pilot watches. With a diameter of 40 millimeters and a height of just 12.3 millimeters, the Damasko DK36 series looks good at work or leisure. The playful contrast between the matte face, large arabic markers overlaid with a special white color and bold sword hands gives the impression of being a permanent classic.

The DK36's bead-blasted case is made in-house using Damasko's special patented ice-hardened nickel-free stainless steel. This steel offers good corrosion resistance, and can be tempered up to 64 HRC/800Vickers which is four times the hardness of every other steel currently used in the watch industry. And this special ice-hardened steel is used for the entire case, case-back and crown.

The case is water resistant to 100 meters and features curved lugs which provide a more comfortable fit on various wrist sizes as well as drilled through lugs for quick and easy strap changes. All gaskets used in the case are made from Viton™ which offers a premium chemical resistance and is superior to most other materials used in the watch industry. A scratch resistant flat sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on both sides ensures maximum readability of the dial in all lighting conditions.

The matte dial features a crosshair design synonymous with Damasko. The hour indices and also the triangle at 12 o'clock are coated with a special long-lasting luminous compound Luminova™ C1 Grade X1 (white). The sword shaped hour and minute hands are also coated with Luminova™ C1 Grade X1 (white).

The screw-down crown uses the patented DAMASKO crown system with crown protection and can be used under water without any problem. The crown is hardened, screwed down and triple-sealed for maximum protection. In its screwed-down state, the setting stem is disengaged from the crown, ensuring that no pressure, impacts or vibrations are passed on to the piece. The patented DAMASKO lubricant cell supports the crown shaft and provides it with a fine film of lubricant, which lasts for many years.

The watch is powered by an in-house German manufactory movement - Damasko A26-3. This is a self-winding movement with bidirectional pawl winding and a power reserve of 42 hours. It features a date and weekday indiction offset at the 3 o'clock position and is regulated to high precision by Damasko in 6 positions. This movement is shockproof according to DIN 8308 and anti-magnetic according to DIN 8309.

One of the features of the Damasko A26 movement is the pawl winding, which increases the winding efficiency. This Damasko patent pending system utilizes two ceramic ball bearing assemblies to accomplish the bi-directional autowinding. One centrally mounted ball bearing has the tungsten mass fastened to it, to allow for very low friction spinning of the rotor. Additionally there is another ceramic ball bearing held within, which is slightly eccentric, and this acts to transmit the winding to the mainspring. The use of ceramic ball bearings eliminates the needs for lubricants or oil.

Damasko also discovered that a common failure point on ETA movements is the use of brass material for the primary handwinding components. In the A26 caliber, these brass parts have been replaced with hardened steel, for increased reliability and durability.

A very comfortable premium German leather strap with signed pin buckle is included with the Damasko DK36.
